Library Grants for Health Project

Public Library Health Outreach Grant
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Skin DeepProject "is a two-year venture featuring an ambitious outreach and educationprogram aimed at students, their teachers and the general public. As part ofthe project, AAAS will award up to 14 sub-grants to public libraries to dohealth outreach during 2006 in conjunction with the upcoming publication,Human Skin: The Science Inside.
In addition to supplying libraries with copies of the book and freeskin-related giveaways, AAAS will provide up to $500 for programmaticsupport. It is recommended that libraries that wish to apply for thesegrants consider partnering with local health and community-basedorganizations." http://www.healthlit.org/skindeep.htm
